Molina Healthcare of South Carolina Supports Individuals Affected by Hurricane Florence

09/11/2018

Molina Healthcare of South Carolina is taking action to support members and providers impacted by Hurricane Florence. The Company regularly checks in with its employees to ensure proper staffing levels and coverage, especially during an emergency such as a natural disaster.

Actions taken include:

  • Identifying and reaching out to high-risk and medically compromised members to ensure that they have a plan and that their medical needs are met.
  • Suspending prior authorization requirements for all medications so that individuals can obtain their prescriptions in a timely manner.

“Molina’s commitment to the well-being of our members is always a top priority, but especially so during an emergency when removing barriers to care is essential,” said Dora Wilson, President of Molina Healthcare of South Carolina. “Our goal is to support our providers, members, employees and community by providing resources to ensure their health and safety during this crisis.”
